Request for a flex day Ask your site coordinator / program administrator, site director, and current rotation's preceptor
Get reimbursed for Resident Education Fund (REF) expenses Submit to your site coordinator / program administrator
Get reimbursed for travel and accommodations expenses for mandatory rotations or events Varies between sites. We recommend contacting your site coordinator / program administrator to ask what is done at your site.

Check my UBC PGME reimbursement status Ask your site coordinator / program administrator to check or check directly on the Resident Reimbursement Site
Change my direct deposit info Email PHSA (whoever emailed you asking for direct deposit info back in May)
Look into the details of my extended medical benefits Go to the Pacific Blue Cross website or access their app
Check what we are entitled to for sick days, flex days, vacation, maternity leave, call scheduling, etc (ie. my rights as a resident) Check the current RDBC Collective Agreement
Pay tuition Go to UBC SSC
Find my employee number Go to the UBC RMS website
Find my student number Go to the UBC RMS website (it's the same as your MRES number)
Get free UpToDate access Family Practice residents: Sign up for the Student and Residents Division of Family Practice here
Royal College residents: Access through specific health authority
Request to attend an educational conference or training session 1) Get tentative approval from site/preceptor (wherever you're meant to be)
2) Send Educational Leave Request Form (site specific form, contact your site coordinator / program administrator) to site coordinator / program administrator for approval from site director
3) Register for conference & pay for conference fees (if applicable) and check with your site coordinator / program administrator to see how much is in your Resident Education Fund (REF) to get it reimbursed (varies from site to site)
Arrange an elective 1) Contact prospective elective preceptor directly and get tentative approval (get written explicit approval)
2) Send Elective Request Form and written explicit approval to site coordinator / program administrator
